Foal Victor discovers his enclosure at Cologne Zoo

Quelle: KIVVON KÖLN (Glomex)

Victor is a real spring foal. Having just been born, he is slowly discovering his new world at Cologne Zoo. He is a Przewalsi horse. This species is threatened with extinction. Cologne Zoo launched an international breeding program at an early stage. They have managed this for more than 30 years - with success, as some animals have already been released into the wild. For example, in the huge Hortobagy reserve in the Hungarian Puszta. Or as completely free-roaming wild populations in Mongolia and China.
