At first glance, the new GLC is recognizable as a member of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. Standard equipment includes the AVANTGARDE exterior with chrome package including chrome window surrounds and new, non-functional underride guard in chrome look. This sets accents and enhances the vehicle's unique proportions. The defining design highlights of the GLC include the redesigned front end with headlights that immediately follow the radiator grille and emphasize its width, and the new radiator grille included in the standard AVANTGARDE exterior, for the first time with a chrome frame and a sporty slat in matt gray including chrome trim. The AMG Line receives a radiator grille with Mercedes-Benz pattern and integrated Mercedes star. The exterior design is characterized by a full, spanned surface design, enriched with precise and new shaped edges in the sides. They complement the proportions, highlight the powerful wheel arches and also create a balance between elegance and off-road performance. Wheel arch linings in body color are available for the first time from AMG Line. They underscore the sportiness of the AMG Line as an optional extra in conjunction with mixed tires. Also available as optional equipment are entrance-optimized running boards and, from AMG Line, a Night package.
