Several people were injured in a traffic accident near Amtzell on Wednesday evening. Around 5:30 p.m., the 35-year-old driver of a sprinter on his way to Wangen noticed the gridlocked traffic in front of him too late. He swerved to the left and collided with an oncoming Ford, whose driver and his pregnant passenger were heading towards Ravensburg. The 35-year-old driver who caused the accident and the 31-year-old pregnant woman were seriously injured in the accident. Rescue vehicles took both to surrounding hospitals. The driver of the Ford also suffered minor injuries and was taken to a clinic for medical treatment. Fire department in action According to the police, the collision caused damage of about 40,000 euros to the two cars. They had to be recovered by towing companies.
