The nearly 4.70-long, all-wheel-drive crossover, which is based on the new E-GMP (Electric-Global Modular Platform) electric platform, is the sprintiest model in the entire Hyundai Motor Group, to which Kia belongs. It accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and tops out at 260 kilometers per hour. The key to the EV6 GT's high-speed technology lies in its revving ability: the two engines on the front and rear axles reach exceptionally high speeds of up to 21,000 rpm. The front engine has been taken over from the EV6. The new, innovative rear engine features, among other things, oil-cooled "hairpin" stator coils and a two-stage inverter with silicon carbide semiconductors (SiC). The drive power and torque of up to 740 Nm are impressively transmitted to the road by the sporty, tightly tuned high-performance chassis. The low center of gravity, direct steering, powerful brakes, electronic damper control (ECS) and electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD) contribute to the fascinating driving dynamics. The crossover unleashes its full sport potential when GT mode is activated: It automatically selects the most dynamic setting for all drive and suspension systems and also offers a special drift mode that directs up to 100 percent of the drive power to the rear wheels, enabling unrestricted lateral movements. With the "My Drive" mode, the systems can also be individualized and thus adapted even better to the driver's own driving preferences.
