By entering the premier class of motorsport in 2026, Audi is facing its most challenging task yet when it comes to combining sustainability, innovation and maximum performance in motorsport. Crucial for Audi are the new regulations of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) which, among other things, stipulate sustainable synthetic fuels from 2026 and raise the electric share of the drive unit to up to 50 percent. Audi intends to actively accompany the transformation of what is by far the most important motorsport series. The power unit is being developed at the Neuburg an der Donau site. In the future, the Formula 1 program will form the spearhead of the factory's motorsport commitment.
