The EQS SUV offers plenty of space, comfort and connectivity for up to seven passengers in its avant-garde, luxurious interior. Thanks to powerful electric motors, responsive 4MATIC all-wheel drive and an intelligent OFFROAD driving program, this model also handles light terrain with ease. At market launch, the model range will comprise three variants: EQS 450 + and EQS 450 4MATIC, each with 265 kW output, and the EQS 580 4MATIC with 400 kW. The new EQS SUV shares the long wheelbase (3,210 millimeters) with the EQS sedan, but is over 20 centimeters higher than the latter. The dimensions in detail: 5,125/1,959/1,718 millimeters. The interior dimensions benefit from these generous SUV dimensions and the advantages of the Purpose design tailored to the electric platform. The second row of seats can be electrically adjusted as standard. Up to four golf bags fit in the trunk. A third row of seats with two additional individual seats is available as an option, as is extensive comfort equipment for all passengers. The EQS sedan is the current aerodynamics world champion for production cars. Its Purpose design with smooth underbody and mostly closed radiator shutter was a good starting point for the EQS SUV's very good cd value starting at 0.26. This is achieved despite the large cargo volume and short rear overhang. SUV-typical flow details were optimized, resulting in a unique combination of spaciousness and aerodynamic efficiency.
