Quelle: AUTOMOTOTV (Glomex)

Top score for the Honda Civic e:HEV: The new generation of the vehicle achieved the highest rating of five stars in the latest Euro NCAP safety tests. The Civic thus underscores the Japanese automaker's ambition to reduce the number of traffic fatalities involving Honda vehicles to zero by 2050. In addition to the new Civic, the Honda CR-V and Jazz models were also recently awarded five stars by Euro NCAP. The new Civic features a number of improved and revised technologies that make it one of the safest vehicles in its class - both in terms of occupant safety and pedestrian protection. The Civic meets the high demands of adult occupant protection with structural body reinforcements. These include additional stiffeners in the front doors and in the frames of the rear wheel arches, which dampen the impact of a side collision. In addition, a new strut runs across the entire width of the vehicle and strengthens the connection between the vehicle floor and bulkhead. The aim is to keep the degree of deformation as low as possible in the event of a head-on or offset collision.
