Multiple pileups on the A23: Several accidents due to hailstorms

A series of accidents occurred on the A23 in the Elmshorn area, injuring several people. Two of them seriously. 17 vehicles were involved in the pile-up. The freeway had to be closed in both directions for a time. The reason was a sudden hailstorm.
