Cashless payment: Some Hamburg stores only accept card payments

In other countries, it is already common practice to pay exclusively by card. Germans, however, still cling to their cash and it remains the most widely used means of payment in the country. Nevertheless, more and more stores and restaurants in Hamburg are deciding to accept only card payments. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this?
