Gender medicine: "Go Red for Women" action day for heart health in women

Inspired by the "National Wear Red Day" in the USA, a red sign will be set in Germany on February 3. On the day of action entitled "#GoRed - women's hearts beat differently", women across Germany are to wear red to draw attention to the issue of heart health in women and gender differences in medicine. Cardiovascular diseases are also the number one cause of death among women, but doctors are less likely to recognize the symptoms of a heart attack in women than in men. Research shows that this urgently needs to change. Within the next seven years, the recognition of cardiovascular problems and prevention in women will be significantly improved.
