Source: Police: There was a violent collision with an oncoming vehicle on Sunday afternoon around 4:20 p.m. on the K1001 route between Mauren and Holzgerlingen. A VW Golf drove on the road in the direction of Holzgerlingen and came to the left side of the road in the area of ​​the town of Mauren for reasons that have not yet been clarified. There it finally collided with a Toyota car in oncoming traffic, the 60-year-old driver of which was trapped in the vehicle and had to be freed by the fire department. She was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. The 49-year-old golf driver was slightly injured in the accident. Both cars had to be towed. There was total material damage of around 20,000 euros.
