Heidelberg: On Tuesday evening, a fire broke out in the basement of an apartment building in Heidelberg-Kirchheim. According to initial information, garbage in the apartment building in Alstater Straße caught fire for unknown reasons. When the first emergency services arrived, the residents had already left the house. The Heidelberg fire department was able to extinguish the fire quickly. Apparently no one was injured. After the building was cleared of smoke, the residents were able to return to their apartments. No information is available about the damage to property. The police have started investigating the cause of the fire.
