VfL Gummersbach couldn't make its really big dream come true and was eliminated from the DHB Cup after a passionate but too error-ridden performance. In the first competitive match after the winter break, the team of head coach Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson lost against TBV Lemgo Lippe in front of 4,132 spectators in the sold-out SCHWALBE arena with 30:33 (14:18).
