In 2022, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles (VWN) will present the all-new generation of its Amarok pick-up, which will be able to do even more both on and off-road. Designed and conceived in Germany and Australia, built in South Africa, the new Amarok will once again take its place at the top of the B-segment pick-up, with excellent equipment, a greatly expanded range of driver assistance functions and a much wider range of drive systems than his predecessor. The first disguised models of the new Amarok are already on the road in Europe. The innovative, high-quality design of the all-rounder is typical of the Amarok and redefined at the same time. A powerful, charismatic exterior meets a high-quality interior. Despite the cladding, you can already see how the dimensions have changed: at a good 5,350 mm, the new model is at least 100 mm longer than its predecessor. A wheelbase of 3,270 mm corresponds to an increase of 175 mm - resulting in more space in the crew cab. The payload also increases to up to 1.2 tons and a superior maximum trailer load of 3.5 tons is now possible thanks to more engine/transmission variants. As the wheelbase of the new Amarok grows beyond its overall length, the body overhangs become smaller. And this has a positive effect on cross-country mobility.
