The birth of the Ferrari 296 GT3

Born to win, engineered to impress. Curtain up for the new Ferrari 296 GT3, our future in racing in the Gran Turismo models that allow the closest relationship with the customer and the most consistent transfer of technologies and innovative solutions to production models. We designed the 296 GT3 around the needs of teams, pro drivers and gentleman drivers, who have always been at the center of our attention. Every detail has been meticulously studied according to the dictates of the new GT3 regulations, in order to revisit the winning legacy of the 488 GT3, even if we intend to write new pages in the Cavallino Rampante's motorsport history. We designed the 296 GT3 around the 120° V-6 engine with the turbochargers inside the 'V' and placed it in a lowered, forward position to balance and lower the center of gravity. Around the 'piccolo 12 cilindri', the chassis and the distribution of the elements have been optimized to speed up interventions in the pits. The bodywork now features a sinuous shape around the volumes of the 296 GTB, but redefined to suit the needs of the track and performance targets
