The 64-year-old driver was heading towards Lindau and had lost control of his vehicle at the Weißensberg motorway exit. He first threw himself against the central barrier, then he landed on the embankment next to the road. Cause of accident probably microsleep The driver was slightly injured in the accident, his 59-year-old passenger brought a rescue helicopter to the St. Gallen hospital with serious injuries.
