The new RX's advanced connectivity is faster and more stable and includes the latest multimedia technologies, "always connected" services and convenient over-the-air updates. Through smartphone, navigation, vehicle control, multimedia functions and cloud connectivity, drivers have around 100 different ways to interact with the new RX. The standard 14-inch touchscreen is one of the largest in its class. HD graphics provide excellent readability in all lighting conditions without glare from sunlight. The processing unit works 3.6 times faster than in the predecessor system, which is reflected in the brisker response to user inputs. Additional buttons also allow quick and intuitive access to the most frequently used functions. The standard navigation system provides access to real-time information on traffic conditions, congestion and accidents via the integrated data communication module (DCM). Mobile data is included in the price for the first four years - there are no additional charges. Telephone pairing is also not required for the cloud-based services. The DCM also allows wireless software updates over the air: multimedia and safety systems can thus be updated at any time even after delivery, and a separate service appointment is not required.
