The new Abarth 500e is not only a real scorpion, it is even "more Abarth than ever." This means that it offers an unflinching, playful yet bold style, as well as an exciting experience with the same amount of driving fun. Combining performance, electric power, style and a powerful new sound, the new Scorpion transforms advanced technology into adrenaline and sustainability into performance. The new Abarth 500e is the most responsive and exciting Abarth ever in city driving, offering better responsiveness than, say, an Abarth 695, and achieving 50 percent better acceleration from 20 to 40 mph compared to its gasoline-powered counterpart. The new Abarth 500e is also nimbler outside the city, for example in hairpin turns, where it can reach the target speed from 40 to 60 km/h in just 1.5 seconds - the gasoline version lags 15 meters behind in this comparison: it reaches 60 km/h only one second later. In addition, the more responsive electric motor, a longer wheelbase, improved support thanks to wider track widths and the optimum balance between the axles provide excellent handling and captivating driving dynamics: for example, the new Abarth 500e responds more quickly and is more agile on corner entry, which then leads to higher speeds in the bend and on exit. The new Abarth 500e is equipped with a powerful 42 kWh battery and an electric motor with an output of 113 kW (155 hp). This combines the performance of the Scorpio with the innovation of electric mobility. In fact, the new 500e makes it from 0 to 100 km/h from a standstill in just 7 seconds. The vehicle offers the best acceleration values in its class and, in the meantime, guarantees zero local emissions.
