Final entry for the Subaru SOLTERRA: The all-wheel-drive brand's first electric SUV is on the shortlist for the "Car of the Year 2023" election. The winner of Europe's most prestigious automotive award from a total of seven finalists will be announced at the Motor Show in Brussels on January 13, 2023. The decision will be made by a jury made up of leading European automotive journalists. The new SOLTERRA, which is nominated together with the technically closely related Toyota bZ4X, is built on a specially developed e-platform and features a powerful electric drive. Two 80 kW/109 hp electric motors on the front and rear axles form the basis for the brand's typical all-wheel drive, which guarantees the best traction and maximum driving pleasure in everyday driving. The 71.4 kWh lithium-ion battery enables ranges of up to 466 kilometers (WLTP combined) before a short charging stop is necessary. Thanks to the 150 kW fast charging function (DC), the high-voltage battery can be charged up to 80 percent within around 30 minutes.
