The new Renault Kangoo E-TECH Electric - Maubeuge, a center of excellence for electric vehicles

The Maubeuge site in northern France, rich in tradition, has been the Renault Group's designated center of excellence for light commercial vehicles for a quarter of a century. The third generation Kangoo is already rolling off the production lines, as is its battery-powered counterpart, which will continue the electric success story from spring 2022 as the Kangoo E-TECH 100% Electric. Daimler and long-time alliance partner Nissan also rely on the production facility: the Mercedes Citan and Nissan Townstar models based on the Kangoo also roll through the factory gates here. Close cooperation and a focus on commercial vehicle production have steadily increased efficiency and competitiveness in recent years - which ultimately benefits customers of all brands. Jean-Philippe Daveau, Director of the plant in Maubeuge, explains the connections.
