For the BMW Panoramic iDrive, four central elements merge into a unique display and control system. The BMW Panoramic Vision projects information from A-pillar to A-pillar across the entire width of the windshield. The contents in the center and on the passenger side can be selected individually. In the driver's line of sight, relevant driving information is visible. Optionally, the BMW 3D Head-Up Display above the BMW Panoramic Vision also provides integrated displays for navigation and automated driving for the first time, which are laid out with spatial depth on the road. Ergonomically positioned ideally next to the steering wheel is the Central Display designed in Free-Cut design with Matrix Backlight Technology. Vertically arranged widgets on the driver's side allow for quick and direct access to frequently used functions via QuickSelect. The new multifunction steering wheel serves as the primary physical control element. Its button fields support the symbiotic interaction between driver and vehicle through illuminations, relief structure, and haptic feedback.
