A calm driving behavior also contributes to better handling and higher everyday usability even in uncompromising sports cars. For the new 911 GT3, Porsche has redesigned the bump stop of the shock absorbers. A shorter design extends the linear suspension travel on the front axle by 27 mm and on the rear axle by 24 mm. This reduces the fluctuations in wheel load and the tire guidance behavior, especially noticeable on fast driven, undulating highway sections or when driving over curbs or undulating sections on the racetrack.
