The design is usually the first point of contact with a car: Nissan now sheds light on the look of the new Nissan LEAF in its latest video - and shows how form and function come together to create an elegant, intelligent, and distinctive electric crossover. From the flowing roofline and sculptural body to the 'Ducktail' rear spoiler: the exterior of the Nissan LEAF marks a leap forward - especially in terms of aerodynamics. Giovanny Arroba (Vice President at Nissan Design Europe) and James Coaley (Senior Engineer Exterior Systems at Nissan Technical Centre Europe) explain how each detail was carefully designed to look visually appealing while optimizing efficiency and range. Despite its compact dimensions, the Nissan LEAF offers a spacious interior. Based on the CMF-EV platform, where the battery and drivetrain are mounted under the floor, occupants enjoy a flat floor and an open, generously designed interior with plenty of space. The panoramic glass roof with integrated dimming function creates a light-filled interior. At the same time, the low center of gravity has a positive effect on agility and handling. Further highlights include 3D taillights and two 14.3-inch screens, creating a modern and high-quality high-tech ambiance.
