Public Transport Ranking 2025: Nuremberg is one of the most expensive cities in Germany

In a new nationwide public transport ranking, Nuremberg performs poorly. All German cities with more than 200,000 inhabitants and state capitals were compared. Nuremberg ranks 37 out of 42. With a price of 3.90 euros per single ticket, Nuremberg, along with Munich, Augsburg, and Hamburg, is one of the most expensive cities. Nuremberg also stands out in terms of day tickets: 10.30 euros. In this category, Nuremberg ranks 2nd, behind Berlin. The cheapest cities are Münster, Potsdam, and Schwerin.
