The Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani is dead, his group announced on Thursday. Armani came from humble beginnings. In 1975, he founded a fashion company that evolved over time into a multi-billion dollar empire. In addition to fashion, it included jewelry, perfumes, interior design, and even luxury hotels.
