With its location on an important trade route with Italy, not only rich merchants passed through Füssen. From the south, knowledge about lute and violin making also came to the city on the Lech. To this day, the heritage of this time and thus also classical music in Füssen is preserved. An important highlight in the city's cultural calendar is the 'Vielsaitig' festival. High-quality chamber music takes center stage. Today marks the beginning of the week-long festival. We attended a rehearsal this morning.
