Despite the severe drought in spring and the prolonged rain episode in July, the harvest on Bavarian fields and meadows this year has actually been quite successful. The Federal Statistical Office has even forecast an increase of nearly 15 percent for the 2025 harvest year. On paper, everything may look quite good, nevertheless many farmers have had a tough time - for example, also with rooks that increasingly lurk truly on the fields and often devour large parts of the seed.
