The Showdown at the GWA Wingfoil World Cup Gran Canaria 2025 has begun

The GWA Wingfoil World Cup Gran Canaria, the final stop of the 2025 Surf Freestyle season, officially kicked off at Playa El Burrero. The competitions will take place from August 5 to 8. On the first day of competition, four rounds of the men's event and the first round of the women's event were already completed. With a constant 25 knots of wind, ideal conditions for top performances currently prevail. A total of 28 men and 14 women from 12 nations are competing for the world title. Gran Canaria is hosting a GWA Wingfoil World Cup for the third time. The reigning two-time world champions and current overall leaders, Chris MacDonald (USA) and Nia Suardiaz (ESP), are the favorites to win the event. Close behind in the men's category are Benjamin Castenskiold (DEN) and Tomas Acherer (AUT), and in the women's category are Mar De Arce (ESP) and Manon Dupé (FRA). An exciting season finale is guaranteed.
