The ban on freezing eggs without a medical reason is lifted – but not until 2027. The Constitutional Court has ruled that so-called "Social Egg Freezing" must no longer be universally prohibited. The judges see this as an interference with the fundamental right to private life and consider the existing Reproductive Medicine Act to be disproportionate.
