The GKA Kite World Tour 2025 once again stopped in Taíba, Brazil from November 12 to 15, where the season finale in the Freestyle discipline took place. The lagoon of Taíba provided the perfect setting for the final Freestyle Kite World Cup: constant winds, flat water, and a heated atmosphere that pushed the athletes to their limits, with two of them taking home the world champion title: Brazilian Bruna Kajiya won her sixth title and German Finn Flügel became the GKA Freestyle Kite World Champion for the first time. The men's final was one of the most high-profile heats ever seen in Taíba. Four former or current title contenders, Maxime Chabloz from Switzerland, Italians Gianmaria Coccoluto and Matteo Dorotini, and Finn Flügel from Germany, showcased a spectacular trick with high scores one after the other. As the pressure grew towards the end of the final, Flügel seized the moment and took the lead with a massive KGB 9, with none of the other athletes able to surpass his total score again. Finn Flügel thus secured his first GKA Freestyle Kite World Champion title and crowned an outstanding performance in a memorable final.
