If you notice these signs, you should discontinue therapy

If you are undergoing therapy yourself, you know the benefits of professional help and would recommend it to anyone. However, therapy is not always effective. Here are five signs that it might be time to leave your therapist: First, even though therapy is about pushing your boundaries, you should change therapists if boundaries are being crossed and you feel uncomfortable. Therapists are only human and have their own issues, so they can seem controlling, and if that's the case, you should take your money elsewhere. Your therapist may be a kind and attentive person, but if you often feel misunderstood when you leave a session, you may want to find someone else. A therapist is supposed to get you to make positive changes in your life. So if you don't notice a difference, it's time to rethink the situation. Finally, if you feel that you are doing well and feel better after a period of time, it may be time to end therapy.
