Every April, tens of thousands gather in Indio, California, for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, a massive event with hundreds of performances spanning two weekends. Despite its name, the festival does not take place in the city of Coachella but in nearby Indio, part of the Coachella Valley. Coachella has evolved into one of the world's most popular and profitable festivals. In 2024, approximately 250,000 tickets were sold, with general admission prices now around $600 (€530). What began in 1999 with modest attendance and no sponsors is now a global event with major brand partnerships and a strong social media presence.
