Increase in LGBTQ+ Identity Among Generation Z Women
Quelle: VIDEOELEPHANT (Glomex)
A recent study found that the percentage of Generation Z women identifying as LGBTQ+ has risen to 30%. This represents a significant increase compared to previous generations, confirming the shift in sexual orientation and gender identity in the USA. While younger generations show a stronger tendency towards LGBTQ+ identification among women, older generations are experiencing a reversal of this trend. Bisexual individuals make up the largest group within the LGBTQ+ community (57%), followed by homosexuals and transgender individuals. The report particularly highlights the growing recognition and inclusion of identities beyond the traditional LGBTQ+ spectrum. Terms like pansexual and asexual have gained visibility but still represent a smaller percentage of respondents. This insight reflects a broader societal shift towards greater acceptance and understanding of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
