How to Ripen Avocados Quickly

The avocado is a nutritious fruit, rich in healthy fats, fiber, potassium, and vitamins, which is very popular in the kitchen. Its natural ripening process, however, can take 8 to 10 days, which may not always meet consumers' desires. To expedite this process and ensure a creamy texture and a more pleasant taste the next day, there is a simple method. Place the avocado in a closed container with fruits that release ethylene gas, such as apples or bananas. Ethylene is a natural hormone produced by fruits that accelerates ripening. To determine if an avocado is ripe without having to cut it open, you can also consider the color of the skin - the darker it is, the riper it is. Also, gently press the fruit in the palm of your hand; if it yields slightly, it is ripe for consumption. This method helps prevent waste, as the avocado should only be opened when it has reached the ideal time for consumption to ensure the perfect taste and consistency.
