DIY: Photovoltaics on the Garden Fence

With photovoltaics, you can produce electricity - you can also use your own garden fence, says Martin Kopp, the managing director of the Center for Renewable Energies and Sustainability in Ensdorf (Bavaria). He demonstrated that anyone who can handle a cordless screwdriver and circular saw can do this: Participants in a DIY workshop used prefabricated PV modules on a self-made wooden structure to build a PV system that now produces 4 kW of electricity.
