Elf Stories: In Search of the Autumn Cottage
Quelle: WICHTEL-TV (Glomex)
In the warm light of a golden autumn afternoon, elf Herbi wandered through the magical forest. The colorful leaves rustled under his small boots, and occasionally a gust of wind would swirl a handful of them into the air – like dancing sparks of a silent fire. Herbi was searching. For days, he had been dreaming of a small winter cottage where he could snuggle up when the cold season began. But the forest was vast, and so far, there was no sign of a suitable hideaway. He stopped, tilted his head, and gazed at the slender tree trunks that stood like silent guardians over him. 'Somewhere here,' he murmured, 'must be a spot waiting for me.' The path led him to an old chestnut tree, whose roots protruded far from the ground and formed small caves. The golden light of the deep sun shone through the branches and illuminated a particularly sheltered hollow warmly – as if it were calling to him. Herbi knelt down and pushed the colorful leaves aside a bit. Behind them, a small, natural shelter opened up: dry, sheltered from the wind, and lined with moss and chestnut shells. Perfect for a winter cottage, he thought with a pounding heart. 'This is it,' whispered Herbi, smiling as if the forest had revealed a secret to him. He stood up, dusted off his hands, and imagined how cozy it would soon be here – with warm light, a small blanket, and the scent of the autumn forest wafting through the roots. Sometimes, you don't have to search to find. Sometimes, the right place finds you exactly when you are ready to see it. And so, for elf Herbi, his little autumnal happiness began in the magical forest.
