Collective bargaining after warning strike: Again no agreement between Hamburg Hochbahn and Verdi

Quelle: SAT.1 NORDDEUTSCHLAND (Glomex)

In the wage dispute between the union Verdi and the Hamburg Hochbahn, no agreement was reached in the third round of negotiations. Negotiations lasted seven hours on Thursday, but there was too little movement on the part of the employer, Verdi said a day later. The Hochbahn offer and the union's demand were still too far apart, it said. Verdi is demanding 600 euros per month more pay for the roughly 6,000 employees, while Hochbahn is offering 150 euros more as well as a tax-free inflation compensation bonus of 3,000 euros this year. If there is another warning strike, Verdi will inform in time. Negotiations have been postponed until the end of next week.
