US President Donald Trump has officially launched his "Trump Card" program, offering foreigners a path to US citizenship for $5 million, but not citizenship itself. The program is now online at trumpcard.gov, where applicants must join a waiting list. According to Trump, no congressional approval is required as the card does not guarantee citizenship, but only a path to it. The exact requirements are still unclear, and the White House says more details will follow. The website displays a golden card with Trump's face and asks for the applicant's name, region, email address, and type. When Trump first introduced the idea, he said the card would replace the "EB-5" program for Green Card visas for investors. The existing EB-5 visa allows foreign investors who invest $800,000 to $1.05 million in job-creating projects in the US to access the Green Card. Trump believes the Trump Card will attract wealthy and talented individuals who can invest in the US economy, create jobs, and pay taxes.
