There are repeated reports of abused or abandoned cats, especially during the holiday season. Both the Stuttgart animal shelter and animal welfare associations have long been calling for a castration obligation. We have interviewed the city of Stuttgart and the state animal welfare commissioner on this matter and have also assessed the situation at the animal shelter.
