A West Texas family was stunned when a massive NASA research probe crash-landed onto their farm on October 2. Launched from the Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, the equipment was blown off course by strong winds before descending by parachute in Hale County, where NASA crews retrieved it hours later.
