Every year, residents in the city of Savarkundla in Gujarat, India celebrate the Diwali festival by hurling gunpowder-filled fruit at their neighbors. Filmed on October 20, the 100-year-old local tradition is called the 'Ingoriya War'. Ingoriya is the local name for Hingot - the fruit of the desert date tree - which when filled with gunpowder is lit, producing a stream of sparks as it is thrown.
