A 32-year-old man has been charged with ten counts of attempted murder after multiple people were stabbed on a train in the UK. Anthony Williams was arrested following the attack on an LNER train traveling from Doncaster to London King’s Cross. Williams, from Southampton, was remanded in custody at Peterborough Magistrates' Court. Williams was also charged with assault and possession of a knife by the British Transport Police (BTP). The suspect is also accused of another attempted murder and possession of a knife related to an incident on a London train. Officers reported that a person was attacked with a knife early in the morning on a train at Silverton station in East London, sustaining facial injuries. Tracy Easton, Senior Crown Prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service, stated that they have "worked closely with the British Transport Police to review a large amount of evidence, including video footage." Easton added that "the number of charges is regularly reviewed as part of ongoing investigations." Eleven people were treated in the hospital, five of whom are still receiving medical care, including a railway worker in a "critical but stable condition."
