Woman who stabbed classmate over fictional 'Slender Man' caught during escape attempt

23-year-old Morgan Geyser, who pleaded guilty to stabbing a classmate 19 times in 2014 to become fictional horror character Slender Man's servant, was caught by police after she cut off her monitoring bracelet and tried to escape from a group home in Posen, Illinois on November 23. Slender Man was created on internet forum 'Something Awful' in 2009 and has since spawned many memes, video games and web series adaptations.
