Beauval Zoo returns beloved pandas to China after 13 years in France

Two pandas at Beauval Zoo in central France begin their journey back to China after the female, Huan Huan, was diagnosed with kidney failure. Huan Huan and her partner Yuan Zi arrived at the zoo in 2012 as part of China's "panda diplomacy" programme, which sees the black-and-white bears dispatched across the globe as soft-power ambassadors.
