Delays due to bollards: Trouble in Augsburg public transport

The reason for this is mobile bollards that need to be manually moved and slow down the process. Politicians are critical of the measure, but currently consider it necessary. Retractable bollards are being discussed as a long-term solution, which could save costs and relieve personnel. According to an AVV survey, passengers are dissatisfied and suffer from delayed connections. The city council is examining alternative security concepts – changes during the ongoing Christmas market are unlikely. Patience is required until a permanent solution is found.</p>
