Protests by truck drivers and farmers against high fuel prices have caused supply shortages at supermarkets in southern Italy, with fresh fruit and vegetables especially scarce. Many gas stations have also run out of fuel. Giorgia Meloni's government has called a roundtable meeting for Tuesday.
