Monster waves hit Taiwan as Typhoon Champi approaches

Typhoon Champi reached Taiwan on October 23 with gusts of up to 119mph, killing at least one person and injuring dozens. Hundreds of flights were cancelled and more than 1,200 people were evacuated from their homes.
