Old Georgia Department of Revenue building collapses in controlled demolition

An 18-story office building in Chamblee, Georgia that used to house the Georgia Department of Revenue collapsed in a controlled detonation on October 24. The tower has been empty since the department moved out in 2025. Plans to convert the building into apartments have been dropped and there are no indications what the land will be used for.
