At least 68 people were killed in the train crash in Spain's Toledo province on Wednesday. The first findings on the cause have now emerged. According to Transport Minister Óscar Puente, rail controllers allowed a train to proceed after a technical failure. Puente called the decision “inexplicable.” In the evening, far-right protesters clashed with police outside the Transport Ministry in Madrid.
