Germany plays a central role in the latest "The Tributes of Panem" film, which is released in cinemas this week. The impressive Völkerschlachtdenkmal in Leipzig, which was closed off for secret filming in August 2022, will play a key role in the science fiction epic. In addition to Leipzig, Berlin, the Ruhr region and other German cities were also used for the production. Leipzig's Cinestar cinema is gearing up for a promising start and expects the Monument to the Battle of the Nations to make an impressive appearance on the big screen. The snakes in the film come from the Sieversdorf Film Animal School in Brandenburg. The blockbuster, with the original title "The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes", sheds light on the prehistory of the "Tribute of Panem" series. Star cast members such as Peter Dinklage and Rachel Zegler take center stage.
